Back to School

I can't believe that it is already that time of year and especially that we have been back home for a year now! Time really does fly by so fast! We all have been very excited for Tyler to get back in school...especially me! Last Monday it was Meet the Teacher night at school and Ty was so excited to meet Mrs. Casso. He has a few of his good friends in his class that were in his class last year. His teacher seems great! Wednesday was his first day back and I now have a 1st Grader! How does that happen?! My little kiddies are growing way too fast on me. At least I have a couple years until I have to do this with Ashlynn. Fewwwwww!

Arizona Parents of the Year 2008

For the past month or so we have been keeping this HUGE secret from my Grandma! My moms Indian sister Sylvia found out that they didn't really have any good nominees for this award this year. So Sylvia told them that she knew of a great nomination...her foster parents! Then the work began~Sylvia and my mom were trying to gather as many letters from people of why my grandparents should win this award. After they turned everything in they found out that they had WON! What a surprise this would be for my Grandma! Even though Grandpa passed away this past year we know he was there watching and that made it even more special.
Getting Grandma there was the real trick! Her birthday was right around the corner, so my mom called her and said that they wanted to take her out to a fancy lunch on Saturday and to dress real nice! She was very excited but had no idea what was really going on. When they got there my mom had to fill her in on something because we were all there. She thought that she was just a nominee for the award and that we were all there to support her. She had no clue what was going on until after we ate, the 2007 winners spoke and Sylvia got up and started reading letters. She was so surprised and had not clue what was going one. It was such a blast and a very well deserved award for them! It was fun to be around the family and visit. Laird and Kristina were able to come down from Utah and it was so good to see them...I just LOVE them! We were able to hang out with them more that night at my parents. On the way home Grandma goes..."I still don't know what I am...what does this mean?!" I said, "Grandma...you are this years Parents of the Year for the state of Arizona!" She just giggled and said, "WOW!" What a great day it was!

Saturday Mornings

A couple weeks ago I was helping out two of my sisters and had their little kiddos here. They sure are a lot of fun and keep me running! The kids LOVE having them over and they just like to run around the house...literally! Eventually I had to set up a boobie trap to keep them in the kitchen and not get into the rest of the house. Those darn kids are too smart already...Larz figured out how to wiggle his little way threw and then Kylee followed. Blast! It was funny though watching them and I always love having them here. We just stayed in our PJ's into the afternoon and watched cartoons and ate. That's what Saturday mornings are for anyway right?

An Ashlynn funny...

We had my niece spend the night while my sister Age and her hubby went camping with some friends. This morning I was changing Kylee's diaper and Ashlynn was just sitting by me watching. Since we are out of diapers in our house Ashlynn is fascinated with the whole thing because she loves to put them on her dolly's. Anyway...as I was about to put on a new diaper Ashlynn says with excitement..."Oh look mommy I have one of those!!!! Kylee and I both have one of those!!!" So funny.

My little Chefs

The other night we were making pizza for dinner. The kids were bouncing off the walls so instead of me doing all the work...I let them make most of their own. They had so much fun and I don't know why I don't let them help me more often. For some reason I think it will just be easier to have me do everything and keep them out of it. It gave both of them some good mommy time and I realized that is more important than keeping a clean and organized kitchen. Yummy!

My fabulous SIL

These sassy girls are my sister in laws Alli and Liz...we all married those dang cute Campbell boys...men I mean! I was thinking a lot about both of them this morning and I felt like writing something. We used to live close by each other YEARS ago. Now, obviously we aren't able to but luckily we have those times when we get to visit. I know there are some that don't have a great relationship with their SIL...but I am happy to say that I do and I am so grateful for that. I can honestly say that these girls are two of my best friends and I love being around them. We always have so much fun together...we're always laughing (sometimes too much on my part :)...but we can be serious too and be there for each other...I love that. I think I am going through withdrawal right now because I was just with them everyday for 3 weeks! I love that I can be around these girls and let every part of me out and be totally fine with it....the good the bad and the ugly sometimes...hee hee!!! Love you girls!

Happy 4TH of July

We were fortunate this year to be up in Utah for the 4Th...it was so much fun! Really early that morning we went down to see the hot air balloon festival in Provo. Dave's brothers go to it every year with their families and it was fun to be with them this year. The rest of the day was filled with a parade, a much needed nap, a fabulous fried chicken dinner at my sister in laws and then fireworks. We didn't get home until 12:30 a.m. because we were caught in so much traffic. Hannah Montana was the main event at the Stadium of Fire this year and people were everywhere! We weren't inside the stadium...we were on a nice grassy area above it. It was a great firework show but we were so tired by the time we got home! The 4Th is full of so much fun in Utah and it's soooo much cooler too!

10 Years have gone by.....

Where has the time gone? Ten years ago today~Dave and I were married and began this long journey together called LIFE. Wow...I really can't believe that we have been married for ten years! Seriously, where did the time go?

~Then and Now~
These pictures were taken at the same place at Stuart Falls up above Sundance in Utah. It's so funny to see how much we have changed! The past 10 years has been one roller coaster of a ride...I can't wait for more!

So I am up to my eyeballs in laundry, suitcases and many things to do. The kids are so excited they can barely stand it...and so am I! We can't wait to spend time with family and friends and just relax, play and do what ever comes our way. We will be up there for a couple weeks so I will update this when I return. I'm all caught up now!

After poking and prodding from some family members I have finally posted some things! Make sure you scroll down a few posts to see all of them. Life has been very busy and eventful since school has been out. The kids had swimming lessons the first couple weeks and they both did so good. Tyler was the only kid in his class so he pretty much had private lessons...it was awesome! He is way ready for the next level and just did so great! Ashlynn started in a little shrimps class and still needs to stay put in that class for the summer. She was just barely old enough to start but we will get her going. They both had so much fun and it kept my mornings occupied. Dave is doing great at the office and is working like crazy! He is doing a lot of health lectures with local businesses and bringing in tons of new patients, which is great! Things are steadily getting busier and we are very grateful for that. As for me...I've had to start going to physical therapy for my back because of the accident I was in last year. I have been really sore and my attorney wanted me to go into an MD and get a check up. He referred me to see this physical therapist and boy did he have a ton to tell me! I got a lot of answers to many questions and it all is making sense now. All of the Chiropractic care has been good and has helped but it's my muscles that are having the issue and that is making me out of whack. So now I get to go to therapy for the next couple months...3 time per week...and do exercises at home and finish with ice 3 times per day!!! I know, very time consuming but I have to do it. I just want to get better and not be in pain anymore. I will be very relieved when this is over and I have settled...what a mess this has been! Bless my dear mom for being willing to watch my kids for me when I go to therapy...she is a pure saint! That is pretty much what's been going on here...crazy as usual! The kids and I are driving up to Utah in a week to spend time with family and friends for a couple weeks. It will be so nice to have a vacation and see so many people that we miss and love! We will sure miss Dave though while he is working hard here at home! Hopefully he will be able to get away for some vacation time before too long...we will see! He is so dedicated and determined with the office...I couldn't ask for a harder worker...love you babe!
