Everybody Say Cheese!

Last Saturday my entire family was in one place for a short amount of time. So of course there is only one major thing that you need to get done and update...family photos! Tifani and her family got here last week and her husband had to leave on Sunday. Lets just say that it was a little chaotic and crazy! I guess that is just what happens when you have a big group. But it was fun and these will last us for a couple years until Matt comes home and we all have a few more kids to add in. Linds did a great job editing all of the pictures and making them gorgeous...Thanks! Until next time...

My True Color

Take this test!

You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

Daddy Time

Dave has been having some really long days at work the past few weeks. By the time he gets home the kids are just going crazy! The kids decided to build a fort with all of the pillows from the couch. I know the kids were loving having Daddy Time...I think Dave might of been catching a little shut eye under there too!

Moon River

I was trying to get the kids in the tub last night and Ashlynn was refusing to get in. Tyler was sad that she wasn't getting in. But that quickly changed when I said he could go swimming and have the whole tub to himself! He was so excited and dove right in...I couldn't resist posting this pic of his cute little bum!

Here's the Skinny on Dave

The TAGGING just keeps coming around and this time I was hit by LIZ! This is a really long one but it's fun so you will have to bear with me.

What is his name? David Wayne Campbell (not sure where Wayne came from)

How long have you been together? We've been married 9 1/2 years

How long did you date? 1 year

How old is he? 33

Who eats more? That would be Dave

Who said I love you first? I'm pretty sure it was Dave because I was to scared to say it first.

Who is taller? Dave is by an inch and a 1/2.

Who can sing better? I think he does, but I think he would say I can sing too.

Who is smarter? Hands down Dave!

Who does the laundry? Dave does his and I do the rest

Who pays the bills? That would be me

Who sleeps on the right side? Dave

Who mows the lawn? Dave...I have never mowed a lawn in my life.

Who cooks dinner? Mostly me~but Dave can cook AMAZING food!

Who drives? Dave

Who is more stubborn? ME...and Dave would agree 100%!!!

Who kissed who first? Dave kissed me and I was so dang nervous! But I have to say it happened because I was the FIRST one to ask what the heck was going on between us!!

Who asked who out first? Dave asked me out first. I had just got home from a road trip with my girlfriends and he called right as I walked in the door. He picked me up 10 minutes later and I have no clue how I showered and got ready so fast. But it impressed the heck out of him...that hasn't happened since.

Who proposed? Dave~he did it twice actually with a ring each time...it was GREAT!

Who has more friends? We both have an enormous amount of friends! We each had our own groups of friends when we got married but now they are all married and we love all of their spouses and we get along great! We've moved around so much and have made the greatest friendships all over. Now we have more friends than we know what to do with and always have people to hang with. WE LOVE IT!!!

Who is more sensitive? Sorry babe but that would be me. (he knows it too!)

Who has more siblings? Me (5), Dave (4)

Who wears the pants? Dave and I both are so opposed to this phrase because we both hate being controlled or told what to do. I have to say that we SHARE the pants.

Thanks Liz...this was fun! It took me back and helped me remember so many fun things. There are so many pieces of Dave and I love him! Dave is an amazing father and husband. He is incredibly successful in whatever he decides to do! He is a fantastic Chiropractor and is such a hard worker. I admire him and I feel so lucky. I love how he makes me laugh and how goofy he is. Dave loves to have fun and let loose & even gets a kick out of embarrassing me at times...just to get me out of my comfort zone. I am a lot more cautious and held back~Dave is the exact opposite and helps me to relax. I like to think though that I help him too~we balance each other out. He definitely makes our lives more interesting and exciting and I'm grateful for that...well most of the time!

Now I only want to TAG a few people because I'm curious about their answers and would love to know! So...Tifani, Lindsey, Adria and Megan...you are it!! Anyone else is welcome to play, I just wasn't sure how many of my friends liked to be tagged. It takes a little while to answer all the questions but it was fun to reminisce.

For my sister...

As I am sitting here...at this very moment my sister Tifani is in her bedroom with her kids and they are hiding for their dear lives because of these guys right above! I called her this morning and asked how things were going? She immediately said, "NOT GOOD!" The poor things have another mouse running around their apartment and my sister has had enough. Her husband had to get to school so Tifani took action~she grabbed diapers, snacks, the phone and some movies and took cover. She locked themselves in her bedroom and covered the door cracks. This is their 2ND mouse in a month! The last one Jake killed with a plastic bat...I wonder what this poor rodent will be mutilated with? I am hoping that Jake is home now and that the hunt has begun. I just had to write something about it...sorry Tif. I am not laughing...well maybe a little...but I know how you feel...we have had a little "Gus Gus" before. Stand guard and in high places...may the force be with you! Love you Tif!!

Grandpa's Funeral~Jan. 4th 2008

What a special day today was. It was a day full of many things...Memories, Tears, Happiness, Laughter, Sadness, Music, Stories & More Stories, Love, Tenderness, Reunion, Wonder, Prayer, the Holy Spirit and most of all Peace. It was a day of overwhelming love for my Grandpa.

Grandpa loved sweets...he would hide goodies in his shed or in the back of the van...Grandma never knew until just before his passing. He also would always have these little throat drops in his shirt pocket whenever you might need them. 3 of my Grandpa's brothers were here from North Carolina and we just LOVED having them here! I seriously could sit there and just soak them all in! We loved talking and hearing all sorts of stories and jokes. It made us feel like Grandpa was right there...and I'm sure that he really was. Tifani flew in that morning and we have just loved having her home with us. It's been so nice to have all of my sisters in one place. I am so grateful for my family and how close we all are! It was really a special day.

Tender Mercy

One of my favorite people in the whole world passed away this past Friday morning. I love this picture of my Grandpa and I and this is how I'm going to remember him. My Grandparents just flew back a couple weeks ago. I truly believe with all of my heart that it's because of the Lord's tender mercy that they were able to get back. Especially to spend time with all of our huge family over Christmas. I had many special moments with him before he left and I am so incredibly grateful for them. I know that I will see him again and that there is life after death. I couldn't help but think of what a sweet reunion he is having with loved ones that have gone on before him. I also had this feeling that he is so happy. When my mom called to tell me that he was back in the hospital and that he only had a couple days left~I had this huge sense of urgency to get over to the hospital...I couldn't get over there fast enough. It just so happened that it was Dave's day off so he stayed home with the kids. My mom watched my sisters babies so they could go and my brothers came too. All 5 of us went and we were able to go together. Plus, the ICU usually only lets 1-2 people in at a time...they let all 5 of us go in. We even got to call Tifani and have her talk to him for a minute. We had the sweetest visit with him and we are all going to treasure that. We even sang him a song, "Families Can Be Together Forever". For those of you who don't know this song I will write the words. "I have a family here on earth. They are so good to me. I want to share my life with them through all eternity. Families can be together forever, through heavenly father's plan. I always want to be with my own family, and the Lord has shown me how I can. The Lord has shown me how I can." Granted, the song didn't sound the best coming out because we were crying so hard but it didn't matter. I am so grateful for the blessing of eternal families and that you can be together forever. I believe this with everything in me. I know we will see each other again. We could tell that he was getting really tired so we felt like we needed to go. What a sweet and miraculous man my Grandpa is. I am so grateful for those last moments that I had with him and I know it's because of the Lords grace. My siblings and I left there with a great feeling of peace and that everything was going to be OK. Less then 24 hours later he passed away. My heart is so full of gratitude and love for my Heavenly Father and that he allowed me to have that time with him. I have an enormous amount of love for my Grandpa and I'm so grateful that I was able to tell him so. What a blessing the past couple weeks have been for all of our family. Simply...
I am grateful.

Merry Christmas!

Believe it or not...this was our first Christmas morning by ourselves! In the almost 10 years that we've been married we have always been somewhere else with family. We were so excited to do our own thing and relax and just have fun with the kids. It was actually kind of strange though to have it be so quiet but it was nice too! All of Dave's side of the family were up at the cabin in Utah having Christmas together, we were the only ones not there. We just felt like it was time for us to stay home this year. We sure have missed being with everyone but it has really been nice to just be home! On Christmas Eve the kids get to open one present and it is always a new pair of pajamas...they were so excited!

~The difference between BOYS and GIRLS~

Christmas morning was fun and went by really fast! We are used to opening present up for 3-4 hours because we are usually with a lot of family. This year...we were done in about an hour! When we were done Dave started opening things and putting them together and I went into the kitchen to make a couple Quiche Lorraine to bring over for breakfast at my parents. My family has this tradition to have Belgium Waffles for breakfast on Christmas morning. On Dave's side it is totally different and Dave couldn't go without have his Quiche. So I made a couple and introduced them to my family...they had never tasted them before and it was a big hit!!

After breakfast we started opening presents up with my parents. Tyler got a fishing pole from Grandpa and they are going fishin' in a month...Tyler is so excited! Ashlynn got a whole bunch of Princess dress up shoes~she wore them so much that day she got blisters on her toes! My mom made the kids the most adorable rag quilts and had the sweetest stuffed animals rolled inside. The kids sleep with those blankets every night and just love them so much! We really had a nice holiday this year and we are just so grateful to be back home around so many loved ones! We have so many things to be grateful for!

Glasgow Family Party

Welcome to the annual Glasgow Family Christmas Party!! Every year my mom's family gets together before Christmas~we eat lot's of yummy food, do the nativity and have a talent show. This time was especially special because my grandparents are back. There was a lot of family that wasn't able to be there that we missed so much...Tif, that would be you!! Ashlynn was a little angle in the play and Tyler was a shepherd. We all crammed into one room and watched all the little kids do the Nativity...so sweet. Years ago my sisters started doing this performance for the talent show~they would wear tree skirts and sing and dance to a Carpenters Christmas song. It is pretty hilarious and I would always love seeing pictures and hearing about it because we weren't there. This year we decided to do this very last minute and we dragged mom and my brother Andrew into it too! We practiced so good and had it down perfect...but as you can see below we all were laughing so hard and forgetting things...but it sure makes for good t.v. We sure missed Tifani being there with us! In a few years we will all be together and you can bet that we will plan up something good! When you are ready to watch the video you have to scroll all the way to the very bottom of my blog and click on the box where my music is. Then click on the pause button to turn off the music, then go back up to my video and click the play button twice. Hope you enjoy and get a good laugh! Merry Christmas and Ho Ho Ho!!
