Lake Powell...pure BLISS!!!

So this place is seriously a little piece of heaven on earth!!! It's been years since we've been back here and the first time the kids have been. We never want to miss a summer trip like this again!!

Ashlynn had so much fun the minute she got onto the boat for a ride she would fall right asleep!

We played in the sand.....went wakeboarding and tubing in the boat.....the guys went repelling a couple times a day from a 300 ft. rock....Ty even learned how to do it but his rock was much smaller about 20 ft.....and he did AWESOME. That was a proud parent moment...especially for Dave. Eat....Play.....and Sleep....what more do you need:)

It was the best fun ever!!! We are so grateful we were able to go and make so many incredible memories. I have so many more pics and will put them on my facebook page if you want to check out more!! Lake Powell ROCKS!!!!

Baseball games & Dance class

Ty started baseball back in April and I'm just barely getting these posted! He had games twice a week for 8 weeks. Our lives basically revolved around the baseball field and we just loved it. It was so much fun to watch him play and see how much he's grown!! He had the most awesome coach that was so positive with the kids and patient. Tyler absolutely LOVED getting ready and warming up before each game. He totally would get into his own little zone. I have to say that I just think his buns are the cutest ever in those baseball pants!! We can't wait until baseball season starts again!!

Miss Ashlynn had dance during the day while Ty was at school. She had one class a week for 8 weeks and then a recital at the end. Can I just tell you that this girl LOVES to dance!!! I hope that sometime soon we can really get her involved more in dance. She is such a crack up and did so well!! Dave was able to run out of the office just in time to make her recital. It was such a joy to sit there and watch her perform what she'd been learning. Even though all the baseball games and dance classes made our lives a bit more hectic....we wouldn't trade any of that fun for the world!!! To watch the kids faces and see how much fun they are having and how happy they are...100% worth it!!!!

When the Boys are away Girls will play

Dave took Tyler on his first "Fathers and Sons" camp out a couple weekends ago. They had such a good time together and found this awesome place to go for a hike. It took Dave a few days to have everything prepared to go. He had to work until 4pm that day so after that they rushed on out. They went so fast that Dave forgot two bags of food and all their paper goods! I felt so bad for him but could do nothing about it. Thank goodness there were plenty of other people that could donate their goods! They had a lot of fun and cant wait to go again next year. Dave has been struck with a "Hiking Bug" ....it's starting to become contagious to the rest of us!! He has gone a couple mornings with a patient of his and then found this cool place when he was with Ty. We've already been searching for other fun places to go with the kids and there are so many around here!
So when our stinky boys left us girls had all sorts of plans for the weekend!!!! Ashlynn and I went and had dinner together that Friday night at a yummy place called Liberty Market. It's so yummy:) Then on Saturday we met my sis and niece for breakfast and pedicures. It was so much fun and something we'll have to do many many many more times!! While we were getting our feet done I looked at my sis and said..."We might be getting ourselves into trouble starting them out so young with pampering"....we just looked at each other and said..." Oh Well!!!!!" It's good bonding time right and that is totally worth it!!!!!! The boys can go get stinky and we'll just get more pretty:)

Happy Easter!!!!

For the past few years we've started off Easter weekend with a hunt at the Islands park! They do such a good job and the Easter Bunny comes over on a boat while the "Peter Cottontail" song is playing. The kids just love it!

Later that day we went over to Grammy's and painted eggs. I got this splatter paint egg kit that didn't end up working so we just made the best of it. Grammy's friends got her this snazzy wig after her brain surgery....it's come quite in handy and looks great!

After a super yummy dinner on Sunday we did another egg hunt for the kids in the backyard. I think Kirsten and I went a little over the top with candy and stuff but it was fun! It was a Happy Easter for sure:)

Spring Break

Okay so it's taken me weeks to finally post about spring break....oh well at least I'm doing it:) Our week wasn't full of things to do each day like we normally do. We had just gotten back from camping and we were recovering from that....well maybe I just was! I decided one day to drive down to my sis Tifani in Tuscon for the day. The kids were so excited to see each other and play. Her house is always so calming to me and so nice....so much that I literally passed out on the couch for a few minutes and had no energy to snap out of it. They had this cute little cowboy village by their house called "Dust Town"....I think that's what it's called. It was the cutest place and we had a lot of fun there with the kids. We watched a gun show....had a train ride....the kids panned for gold and a lot of it was free....it was great!

Dave and I took the kids one night to see "Alice in Wonderland 3D".....wow was that an experience. It was a little odd at times but still a good time and the kids had fun!

A couple days later we went out to "RAWHIDE" with my other sis Adria and her family. In my family we grew up going to ghost towns and cowboy towns....my Dad has a soft spot for them. So of course us kids do as well! They had a special that day for a family pass for all the attractions. I'm glad it was on sale because it wasn't as fun as we remembered it to be but we still had a good time together.

My sis and I kissing "John Wayne" I think and Ty on his first bull ride....wooooohooooo! Oh and our little fam in the slammer....so sad so sad so sad. I love Ashlynn pouting off into the distance! So that was our spring break full of family fun!!!
