A Christmas Carol at the Hale Theater

I know....I have seriously been MIA on our blog...so sorry. All of a sudden Thanksgiving was here, then it was Dave's birthday, then it was my birthday, we moved last week and Christmas is next week. What the heck has happened??? All I know is things have been busy around here and I need to catch up:). When we were first married we went and saw this play up in Orem at the Hale Theater. We thought it was the neatest thing and have always wanted to go again. Since then they have built another Hale Theater right here in Gilbert. Dave got our family tickets and we were so excited to go. It was a great performance and the kids really enjoyed it!

They were blowing pretend snow out front after the play. It seriously felt like it was really snowing and was so much fun. The kids couldn't get enough of it! The cast was out front singing carols and all the kids were dancing around in the snow. It was great! For a second there I actually missed the snow. Then I stepped a few feet over and the feeling past. Ha, who am I kidding...I LOVE not being in the cold! I'm a warm sunshine girl all the way:) Now that I have our computer hooked up I can keep up better with this thing. Until next time.....Happy Christmas everyone...:)

Blue 42!!!!!!!

I have been wanting the kids to dress up in these costumes for a few years now. The last time I was up in Utah I went by the BYU bookstore and got these. At the last minute Dave decided to be the "coach"....at least I was somewhat festive with a witch hat.

It was a gorgeous night for trick or treating...it was around 70 degrees...perfect.

This was at Tyler's school fall festival. We had a fun time playing, going on a hay ride, getting our faces painted, dancing and much more! Dave had to work that night so we had to go play without him:(

awwww.....Lake Tahoe

Okay....so Lake Tahoe has seriously become one of my new favorite places! We had to go there for a weekend chiropractic conference and it ended up turning into a perfect getaway! In our 11 years of marriage we have never gone away together without the kids....NEVER! Well we've gone away just overnight in town but I don't think that really counts. It was exactly what we needed and was a wonderful trip.

We were staying at this village resort tucked back up in the mountains at the base of the ski slopes. It was beautiful and we couldn't get enough of the cool weather...in the mornings it was 39 degrees...so refreshing:) We left the windows open all night and woke up to a chilly room...so nice!

We woke up early each morning to take advantage of the outdoors and get some exercise. I wanted to hike up the mountain and I was quickly reminded that we over 6000 elevation. I was totally sucking wind and thought I was going to drop over. But we kept going and we ended up running the last bit up. Dave got there before me and was cheering me on....I guess you could say that was my biggest loser moment.

After our 3 days of classes with the other doctors, we went sailing out on Lake Tahoe on this HUGE boat. It was so awesome and so beautiful on the water. I could have sat there in total silence with the wind in my hair all day!

We had such a great trip and it made me realize how important little trips like this are with your spouse. We came home happy....refreshed.....and renewed! Then it was back to our crazy chaotic life at the office on Monday......sigh. Tahoe is already calling me back and I hope we can get back there soon:) Oh ya and I changed my hair just a bit, it was time to get back to my roots.

Tu Tu Shoot

Aren't these the most darling pictures!!! Have to give a shout out to my talented sister Lindsey who does fabulous photography:) These are just a few from a photo shoot that she did for my other sister Adria's SIL. Age rallied up some girls and we got started one very warm morning. Kaitlyn is starting her own business and needed some pics taken for her website. You should have seen Ashlynn's face when she was told she could keep the Tu Tu for all her hard work! So much fun and such adorable work by Kaitlyn!

First Week of School

Tyler started his first day of 2ND Grade on Aug. 10Th! He was so ready to be back in school and so was I:) You get used to that real quick! Dave was going out of town that weekend....so I decided to take the kids down to Tucson where my sister Tifani just moved. Ty got out of school and Friday and we were off. It only took us an hour and half to get there, it was awesome!

The kids started playing outside and I just couldn't keep Ashlynn out of there. I felt so bad because she was still bandaged up. I just figured a little water wouldn't hurt her and I could just fix her up later. They sure had fun out there!

Payton was reading to Ashlynn before bed and Tyler was reading to Kade. The kids just couldn't get enough of each other and played so well together. It's so nice to have Tif so close now and that the cousins can spend more time together. Poor Jake was sicker than a dog and was in his room most of the time:(

Can't wait for the next trip...thanks you guys....we had so much fun!

...what I would've given...

...what I would have given to see this new center at Palmer College that Dave started with a few other students....to hear him speak at the open house...to see the look on his face when he saw that the vision and plan was completed...and to be standing next to him when he was standing next to this man........

....HOLY CRAP it's BOB!!!!!!....he came to speak to everyone and Dave was able to visit with him after....pretty cool guy....

....man I missed out on a great weekend...but I'm so glad that Dave was able to go back to where his passion for chiropractic began...Palmer College in good old Davenport Iowa:)
