Friends at Play

One of my girlfriends from High school was here
visiting her family this week...Lynsey! We had
the chance to go to the Zoo with all our kids,
her niece and her wonderful Mom! Tyler
was in school all day so it was just me &
Ashlynn...which wasn't so bad! It ended up
being a little warmer than expected but
we had a great time at the ZOO.

Game Day

What a gorgeous day for a Soccer Game! My nephew
Zac had his last game while we were there visiting.
It was so fun to go watch him play and to be together
as a family.

Gardner Village

While we were in Utah, we went to Gardner Village
one day. The whole place was decorated for
Halloween and had witches everywhere. It was so
much fun and the kids had a blast finding all of
the witches!

Our Extended Family

~Lisa and Lindsey with Tyler...& Lisa with ME~

For those of you who don't know who these FABULOUS
people are...meet the Markham's! This is the family that
we lived next door to for 5 years while we lived in Utah.
We love these guys so much, they are really apart of our
family! They took us in as their own while we lived there
and they were our kids grandparents, aunts & uncles while
we were there.
Every time we get back to Utah we make sure to stay with
them and spend time together. I know in these pictures it
looks like I am introducing my son to the "bottle", but it
is only grape juice. They have their own little vineyard in
their back yard and make their own juice. It is the BEST!
They just put in a cellar in the basement that is full of
all the juice they have bottled. It is pretty cool! We always
have such a wonderful time with them and we love them!
Kevin is the wonderful dentist that took care of Tyler's
dental work that needed to be done while we were there.
That was such a HUGE BLESSING for him to do that
for us...Ty loves his "pirate teeth"!

Hee-Haw Farms

The first part of our trip we stayed with Dave's brother
Brent and his wife Alli. One night we drove out to this
place called Hee-Haw Farms. They had animals, rides,
piglet races, pumpkin patches and a corn maze. I don't
know if any of your children act like this...but Tyler
was in Kid Heaven about to lose his mind! Ty was
in overload with excitement. You know when you
take your kids to Chuckee Cheese or to a Carnival
and they run around like a crazy person about to
lose their marbles? Well, that was Tyler. He wanted
to do EVERYTHING and not stop for anything!
All of the kids had so much fun and we loved watching
them. What a good time!

Sundance

I really forgot how beautiful this place is in the Fall!
My sister in law (Liz) and I drove up Provo Canyon one
day with our kids and went to Sundance. We went
and parked by a friends cabin and busted out the
strollers and went for a walk. It was a little chilly out
but so gorgeous and refreshing! It was so nice to
feel Fall and be around it. I'm starting to get
excited for the Holidays coming up!

Fall Break in Utah

Hello Everyone! Last weekend the kids and I packed up and went on a road trip up to Utah! We drove to Las Vegas the first day and stayed over with one of my good friends...Lynsey... from high school. It was so fun! Before we were so far away and now I only live 5-6 hours away. We finished the drive on Saturday and made it to Provo/Orem that afternoon. The kids do so well in the car when we travel...they should since we have driven them practically over most of the United States in the last year. Dave wasn't able to make it with us because he is up to his eyeballs getting our office ready. Things are looking amazing over there and we are just so excited. It is so cool to see something "Before and After". The painting is almost all finished and we have a plumber in there now getting all of that stuff hooked up. Next week we will start having the tile put down and the carpet. This has really been fun to watch and so exciting for us. We have been taking pictures of the process so when it is all finished I will have to post a slide show or something.
Back to Utah...we stayed with Brent and Alli (Dave's brother) when we first got here on Saturday. All of the kids were having a ball together and playing like crazy! We went to a place called Hee-Haw Farms on Monday and had so much fun there. They had a pumpkin patch, corn maze, rides for the kids and animals everywhere for the kids to look at. It was a really cute place and the kids all had so much fun. Our nephew Zac had his last soccer game one night so we all went to that. It was such a gorgeous night to be at a game! I have forgotten how beautiful this state is! All of the trees are changing colors, leaves are on the ground and then you have HUGE mountains all around you. Utah is really a beautiful state. It feels like Fall here and that has really been fun...I love this time of year! We really had such a great time staying with them! Scott and Liz (Dave's brother) were able to come up a lot and hang out with all of us. Their twins have gotten so big and are all over the place! It was so fun to be together and watch all of our kids play and interact with one another. Ashlynn was a little out numbered...7 boys and HER! But she held her own and the boys were all so sweet to her, it was cute!
Now we have been staying at the Markham's for a couple days. We lived next door to them for almost 5 years when we lived here in Provo while Dave was at BYU. Every time we come here it feels like we are coming home because we spent a long part of our life here. I asked if Kevin would look at the kids teeth while we were here since they were due for a check up. I was thinking that I would take them in and it would be a normal xray/cleaning, he would count their teeth and send the kids off with a new toothbrush. NOT THIS TIME. He looks at Tyler's xray and sees 8 cavities and 4 possible root canals in between his back teeth. I looked at him in total shock and said "you are kidding right?" It's not like I haven't been taking my kids to the dentist because I have been. The problem I realized was that this other Dentist didn't take xrays on kids before they were 4 1/2. So for the past 2 years Tyler has had these cavities growing in between each of his molars. What a mess! I was so irritated at the other dentist because now I am sitting here looking at my son going "Holy Crap!" On Thursday Kevin worked on one half of his mouth. I had to give him all this medicine the night before and the morning of so that he would be totally out of it and loopy. Tyler did so good and just sat there...I was so proud of him. Now he has two "pirate hats" on the left side of his mouth(code for caps). He was pretty emotional when it was all over but he got better during the day and is now back to normal. I was going to come home this weekend but now I am needing to stay an extra week to get Tyler taken care of. It is just way too much work to do on a little kid in two days so we are doing the other side of his mouth next week. He also needs to get a retainer made because he already has a cross bite and he is grinding his teeth at night. Thank goodness for Dr. Kevin! Ty thinks his silver teeth are pretty cool!
I think I'm going to take the kids up the canyon today and drive up through Sundance to see all the fall colors and let the kids play around in the leaves. I have to go walk around BYU one day with the kids to just reminisce. I told Dave that I wanted to come up here for every Fall Break. It is such a gorgeous time of year to be here! After I get home I will post a bunch of pictures from our trip. I am so grateful for the family and friends that we have here and for always take such good care of us! We are extremely GRATEFUL & BLESSED.

Under Construction

Just wanted to let you all know that I am in the middle of changing some things. In the process of that some of my things on here have disappeared! Now I am really irritated and just need to put down my computer and STOP! Hopefully I will get everything figured out soon and calm down. The joy of computers!
